This 6×8 heavy duty aluminum gate frame kit is the biggest frame in our HD pedestrian gate range. It gives you the structure – a 2×4 in. HD frame, corner brackets, channel kits, an integrated L-stopper and three double-support hinges – and leaves the infill to you. Use it when a standard gate size will not cover the opening or when you want to build a larger custom gate with ¾" or 1" infill profiles.
Posts, latch and infill are ordered separately. If you are replacing parts later, the HD double support hinges are also sold by the piece.
A bigger leaf means more weight on the hinges and posts, so plan the whole assembly before ordering:

For a gate of this size, a concrete-footing option such as the 3×3 in. HD square post is worth discussing with our team. Follow the included instructions during assembly.
A frame this size suits openings where a standard pedestrian gate falls short – wider garden entrances, access for mowers and carts, or a custom gate built to line up with a tall screen or wall. Keep in mind that a larger leaf is heavier and catches more wind once filled, so infill weight and post choice deserve extra thought.
