What is a coyote roller?

A rolling bar mounted on brackets above the top rail of a fence or gate. When a coyote or a climbing dog grabs the top to pull itself over, the roller turns, so the animal cannot get the grip or leverage it needs.

Do coyote rollers work?

They are designed to stop animals climbing over the top of the fence. They do not stop an animal digging under or jumping a low fence, so fence height and the bottom of the fence matter too. We look at all three when we plan your layout.

Can coyote rollers be added to an existing fence?

Often, yes. Rollers can be added to many existing fence lines, depending on the fence structure, height, top rail and mounting surface. Send photos and we confirm.

Can coyote rollers go on a gate?

Yes. Our installs include rollers across the top of aluminum gates, so the gate is not the weak point in the fence line.

Will coyote rollers keep my dog in the yard?

They are commonly used by dog owners to help keep climbing dogs in as well as keeping coyotes out. Tell us about your dog and the fence when you ask for a quote.
