This DIY aluminum gate kit builds a horizontal slat pedestrian gate for side yards, walkways and garden entries. The parts are pre-cut at our Southern California factory, so it assembles with standard tools and no welding. 6063-T6 aluminum with an AAMA 2604 powder coat means it will not rust, rot or need painting.

A fence panel on hinges is not a gate.

Every Aluglobus gate starts with a complete frame: vertical frames, top and bottom members, a slat track and a stopper. The slats sit inside the frame, so the leaf stays square and the hinges carry a frame, not a loose panel.

The 4' x 6' DIY gate frame kit, 8 ALU 40 wood-look slats (6 ft) and 8 end plugs. The frame kit includes two heavy-duty hinges and a gate stopper.

Do I need posts?

The standard kit is designed for wall-to-wall installation. For other mounting, choose a post option: hinge + L-side post, 3.15 post, 2-way post (wall mount only), 3 in. HD post or 4 in. HD post.

Should I choose the 3/8" or 1/2" gap?

The 3/8" gap gives more privacy; the 1/2" gap lets in a bit more light and air. Match the gap to your fence if the gate sits in an existing ALU 40 line.
