This DIY aluminum gate kit builds a horizontal slat pedestrian gate for side yards, walkways and garden entries. The parts are pre-cut at our Southern California factory, so it assembles with standard tools and no welding. 6063-T6 aluminum with an AAMA 2604 powder coat means it will not rust, rot or need painting.

A fence panel on hinges is not a gate.

Every Aluglobus gate starts with a complete frame: vertical frames, top and bottom members, a slat track and a stopper. The slats sit inside the frame, so the leaf stays square and the hinges carry a frame, not a loose panel.

What size is a standard pedestrian gate?

Most walk gates are 3 to 4 ft wide. Our kits come in 4 × 6 ft and 6 × 6 ft; a 4 ft wide gate fits wheelbarrows and most mowers.

Can I install an aluminum gate kit myself?

Yes. The kit is pre-cut, so it assembles with a drill, a level and standard tools. No welding is needed.

Do aluminum gates rust or sag?

Aluminum does not rust like steel. The gate is built around a full perimeter frame, which keeps the leaf square instead of hanging loose slats on hinges.

Aluminum vs wood gate: which lasts longer?

Aluminum does not warp, rot or attract termites and never needs staining. It is also lighter, which is easier on the hinges.
