horizontal aluminum fence kit

A horizontal aluminum fence kit for modern privacy

This horizontal aluminum fence kit gives a modern slat fence with even gaps or full privacy, depending on the profile. Posts, slats and accessories are made to work as one system, in 6063-T6 aluminum with an AAMA 2604 powder coat, so the fence will not rust, rot or need repainting. Everything ships factory direct from Southern California.

FAQ

Questions about this fence kit.

What is a tongue-and-groove (T&G) fence system?

A tongue-and-groove fence uses interlocking aluminum panels that fit tightly together. The adjoining profiles engage along their edges to create a continuous, gap-free privacy surface.

Does this fence provide complete privacy?

The ALU50 T&G design is intended as a full-privacy fence system. Unlike spaced slat fences, the interlocking profiles eliminate the intentional horizontal gaps between boards.

Is the fence resistant to weather and rust?

Yes. The system uses corrosion-resistant aluminum with an exterior powder-coated finish designed for UV and weather exposure. Routine cleaning is still recommended, especially in coastal or high-debris environments.

Is this fence suitable for DIY installation?

The interlocking format is designed to simplify panel assembly, so experienced DIY installers can achieve good results. Accurate support layout, plumb alignment, approved mounting, and standard fence-installation tools are still important.

Does the fence require maintenance over time?

Maintenance is low. The aluminum construction does not require the painting, staining, or sealing cycle associated with natural wood. Periodic cleaning and inspection of supports and fasteners are recommended.

What size is this ALU50 T&G fence kit?

The product is listed in a 6-foot by 6.3-foot panel format. Confirm the finished site dimensions, support layout, and any required trimming before installation.

What material and finish are used?

The ALU50 family is presented with 6063-T6 aluminum and AAMA-2604 architectural powder-coat performance for durable exterior use.

Is the aluminum non-combustible?

The product presentation identifies the aluminum system as non-combustible. Complete project fire compliance depends on the full assembly, location, and applicable local requirements.

Can this fence be used around a pool?

It can be considered for pool-area fencing, but the complete barrier must satisfy local requirements for height, openings, climbability, gates, latches, and other safety provisions.

Does the gap-free panel have a tested sound or wind rating?

The continuous interlocked surface can block direct sight lines and direct airflow better than an intentionally spaced slat fence, but no specific acoustic or wind-load rating should be assumed unless it is provided for the engineered project.

How long does an aluminum fence last?

Aluminum does not rot, rust like steel or need staining, so a powder-coated aluminum fence lasts decades with occasional washing.

Is a horizontal aluminum fence good for privacy?

Yes. Tongue-and-groove (T&G) slats interlock for full privacy with no gaps; slatted profiles with a 3/8″ or 1/2″ gap give semi-privacy and let air through.

Can it be installed on concrete?

Yes. Posts can be surface mounted with base plates and wedge anchors, or set in concrete footings.

Aluminum vs wood, vinyl or composite fence?

Aluminum will not warp, rot or attract termites like wood, will not chalk like vinyl and weighs far less than composite, with a factory powder-coat finish.

Seamless privacy with modern design

Tongue-and-groove profiles remove the intentional gaps found in standard horizontal slat fencing.

The ALU50 T&G system is designed for people who want privacy and a clean modern horizontal line. Interlocking profiles create a smoother continuous surface that works with buildings, landscapes, backyards, and upscale outdoor spaces.

Noise and wind: the gap-free surface blocks direct openings through the fence, but no tested acoustic reduction or wind-load value should be assumed unless it is supplied for the engineered project.
Conceptual ALU50 T&G interlock

Engineered for strength & durability

Exterior aluminum performance without the maintenance cycle of painted or stained wood.

The ALU50 fence is positioned around corrosion resistance, UV stability, weather exposure, non-combustible aluminum, and a low-maintenance powder-coated surface.

Corrosion-resistant aluminum

Aluminum does not develop iron-oxide rust and is well suited to long-term exterior fence applications.

UV-stable finish direction

Architectural powder coating helps protect the surface from outdoor sun and weather exposure.

Weather-resistant system

The aluminum profiles and exterior coating are designed for outdoor use across residential and light-commercial projects.

Non-combustible material

The aluminum substrate does not ignite like wood or vinyl. Complete assembly compliance depends on local project requirements.

Low maintenance

No recurring painting, staining, or sealing cycle is required for the aluminum profiles.

Interlocking rigidity

Tongue-and-groove engagement creates a continuous panel surface and adds structural continuity across adjoining profiles.

Built for easier installation

The interlocking format simplifies panel assembly while accurate supports control the final fence line.

ALU50 T&G is suitable for contractors and experienced DIY users. The profiles interlock as the panel is assembled, reducing the need to visually set a separate gap between every board.

Planning first: confirm the support/post configuration, mounting method, finished elevation, grade, wind exposure, and local structural requirements from the actual order and project before installation.

Lay out the fence line

Mark the complete run, support locations, corners, ends, grade changes, and any gate conditions.

Install the approved supports

Set posts or structural supports plumb using the mounting and foundation design required for the site.

Establish the first profile

Set the starting ALU50 profile level and aligned so the remaining T&G stack follows a controlled reference.

Interlock the ALU50 profiles

Engage each tongue-and-groove profile fully as the panel is assembled to maintain the gap-free surface.

Secure & inspect the panel

Complete the specified connections, then verify plumb, top line, interlock engagement, and overall fence alignment.

Recommended applications

Full-privacy aluminum fencing for residential, landscape, pool-area, and light-commercial projects.

The seamless horizontal surface is especially useful where privacy is the priority and the project calls for a clean architectural appearance.

Privacy

Property-line fencing

Use the gap-free T&G surface where direct visual screening is more important than airflow through the panel.

Residential

Backyard enclosures

Create a continuous modern boundary around backyards and private outdoor living spaces.

Landscape

Garden & patio boundaries

The horizontal aluminum surface provides a clean background for landscaping, patios, and exterior architecture.

Pool area

Pool-perimeter layouts

The fence can be considered around pool areas when the complete barrier, posts, gates, hardware, and openings satisfy local requirements.

Modern home

Architectural privacy

The smooth horizontal line works naturally with contemporary residential exterior design.

Commercial

Light-commercial screening

Useful for offices, multifamily areas, and other low-rise exterior spaces that need visual screening.

Why choose ALU50 T&G?

Four core reasons the system differs from a standard spaced-slat fence.

ALU50 T&G is built around four core advantages: maximum privacy, interlocking continuity, modern aesthetics, and lower recurring maintenance.

Benefit	ALU50 T&G direction
Maximum privacy	No intentional gaps between interlocking ALU50 T&G profiles.
Stronger structure	The tongue-and-groove connection creates continuity and added rigidity across the panel surface.
Modern aesthetics	A clean horizontal surface with a seamless, architectural appearance.
Long-term savings	Lower recurring finish maintenance than traditional wood fencing because painting, staining, and sealing are not part of routine aluminum care.

Material & system specifications

The product specifications that matter for planning the ALU50 T&G fence.

The ALU50 T&G system combines a 6′ × 6.3′ format, gap-free interlocking privacy design, heavy-duty aluminum construction, exterior finish performance, and residential/light-commercial use.

Project-specific engineering: post dimensions, wall thickness, footing depth, wind capacity, and connection loads depend on the site and should be confirmed for the actual installation.

The ALU50 T&G design is intended as a full-privacy fence system. Unlike spaced slat fences, the interlocking profiles eliminate the intentional horizontal gaps between boards.

Is the fence resistant to weather and rust?

Is this fence suitable for DIY installation?

Does the fence require maintenance over time?

Does this fence have gaps between the boards?

No. Each ALU50 T&G profile locks into the next, so there are no intentional gaps between boards and you get a solid privacy surface.

What's included in the 6′ × 6.3′ kit?

The kit includes 11 T&G slats at 6 ft, one 6 ft top rail and one 2-way post kit. Confirm the end posts and mounting for your fence line with our team.

How many kits do I need for a longer run?

Each kit covers one 6 ft wide section. Measure your total run, divide it into 6 ft sections, and confirm the starting and end posts with our team.

Does the solid surface block wind and noise?

It has no openings, so you can't see through it. No tested sound-reduction or wind-load values are published for this kit, so get project engineering if wind exposure matters.

What upkeep does the fence need?

The aluminum profiles don't need painting, staining or sealing. Just clean them from time to time.

Is this a good aluminum privacy fence?

Yes. The kit includes the posts, slats and hardware listed above for one section, cut from 6063-T6 aluminum with a powder-coated finish that will not rust.

What else do people call this?

Shoppers also search for it as tongue and groove fence, metal privacy fence or privacy fence kit.
