6063-T6 aluminum + AAMA 2604 The gate system uses 6063-T6 aluminum with an architectural powder-coated exterior finish. The black finish creates a clean contemporary appearance while aluminum provides corrosion resistance and low routine maintenance. No sanding or staining associated with real wood. Aluminum does not rust like iron-based gate materials. Architectural powder coating is intended for exterior exposure.
Non-combustible metal substrate Aluminum is a non-combustible metal substrate. For defensible-space or Zone 0 projects, compliance must be evaluated for the complete installed assembly, nearby materials, clearances and local requirements. Final acceptance belongs to the applicable authority having jurisdiction. Non-combustible aluminum should not be interpreted as a fireproof complete assembly.
