Prepare the installation areaConfirm the opening, side runback, finished grade, drainage, utilities, and a suitable foundation. Secure the support and guide posts for the actual loads and site.
Assemble the gate frameUse the supplied inner corner brackets and connectors to build the frame square, level, and to the approved dimensions.
Install the sliding mechanismSet the channel or track straight and level. Attach the wheels and upper guide roller so the leaf travels without binding or excessive movement.
Set the stopper and catcherPosition the stopper and catcher to control travel, support the closed gate, and protect the hardware from overrun.

Planning your opening

Confirm the finished opening, side runback for the full gate width, grade, drainage, utilities and a suitable track foundation before you order. Confirm the slide direction too.

Automation

The gate is sold without a motor. If you plan to automate it, choose a compatible operator, power, mounting, safety devices and emergency access for your site.

Finish care

Rinse now and then, especially near the coast. Appearance over time depends on climate, cleaning and wear.

Fire safety

The ALU40 woodgrain HD sliding gate is a 18′ × 6′ (W × H) heavy-duty aluminum sliding gate for driveways and wide openings. Wide 4″ ALU40 slats in a woodgrain finish run horizontally across a 4″ heavy-duty USA aluminum frame, with a 3/8″ gap between slats.

How it installs

Prepare the installation area. Confirm the opening, side runback, finished grade, drainage, utilities and a suitable foundation, and secure the support and guide posts.
Assemble the gate frame. Use the supplied inner corner brackets and connectors to build the frame square and level.
Install the sliding mechanism. Set the track straight and level, then attach the wheels and upper guide roller so the gate travels without binding.
Set the stopper and catcher. Position the stopper and catcher to control travel and support the closed gate.
Plan the optional motor. The gate is sold without a motor. Choose a compatible operator, power, safety devices and emergency access for your site.
Make final adjustments. Tighten fasteners, check clearances, clean the track and test the full travel before regular use.
