Wall-Mounted Automatic Motorized Louvered Patio Cover in Burbank, CA

This Westwood property needed a large custom entrance gate that would provide full privacy without visible gaps while still matching the modern architectural style of the home. At approximately 12 ft wide × 6 ft high, the opening required more than a standard off-the-shelf gate. The system needed the right proportions, structural framing and hinge placement to operate properly while maintaining a clean appearance across both gate leaves. Another important part of the project was creating the warmth of a wood-style entrance without using traditional wood. The gate also had to work naturally with the existing entrance and surrounding property rather than looking like a separate added-on element.

For this project, we supplied and installed a custom ALU60 T&G Woodgrain Universal Double Swing Gate. The tongue-and-groove aluminum profile created a continuous no-gap design, giving the entrance a solid and private appearance from edge to edge. A woodgrain finish was selected to bring the warmth and architectural character of wood while keeping the gate based around an aluminum system. The two gate leaves were sized specifically for the approximately 12 × 6 ft opening, allowing the large entrance to be divided into a balanced double-swing configuration. The complete system was planned around the actual property dimensions, surrounding structures and required gate movement so the finished entrance would look intentional and properly integrated with the home.

The completed gate transformed the entrance into a clean, private and architectural feature of the property. The ALU60 T&G no-gap layout provides strong visual privacy, while the woodgrain finish adds warmth against the surrounding exterior finishes. Using a double-swing configuration allowed the approximately 12 ft opening to maintain balanced proportions while providing practical driveway access. The finished project demonstrates how a custom aluminum gate can provide the appearance of a wood entrance while allowing the design, dimensions and layout to be built specifically around the property.
